From San Domenico we follow the paved road leading to Ponte Campo and then take the unpaved road going up to the Veglia Alp which enters the narrow valley of the Cairasca Torrent. The road is very steep with uneven surfaces. Having reached the Groppallo Chapel the track follows more or less flat up to the Veglia plane. The track tours around the entire plane crossing all of the Alp’s rural communities.

Variant: if you’re not already tired, it is possible to go from Veglia along the lengthy unpaved road up to Pian du Scricc (1930 m) featuring a beautiful flat Alpine pasture. This variant is 2.6 km long (one-way) and contributes another 200 m going up.

As for the way back the same itinerary is followed. Be careful when going down from the Groppallo Chapel: it is necessary to have good breaks!
