The suggested itinerary allows for a lengthy level traversal with minimum altitude differences and a fun and long descent down to the town of Varzo. From Varzo it is possible to go back up to San Domenico to come back to one’s car via the “Prontobus” service (for which you must reserve space for your bike to be carried in advance). From Ciamporino to Moiero the path is predominantely hillside, with exposed tracts and excavated tracts where it is easy for the bike pedals to touch the ground: be careful and carry your bikes by hand if this happens. From Moiero we follow along the syndicate track which via a long hillside track touches the Quatè Alp and then takes us up to the Solcio Alp where the pleasant Crosta Mountain Hut can be found. From the mountain hut we begin a long descent towards Varzo. Once arrived at the fork in the syndicate tracks, follow the Dreuza – Coggia directions. The track descends paved with various hairpin bends touching numerous groups of very well-kept Alpine accommodation buildings such as Bialugno and Valera up to Dreuza. From Dreuza we can follow along towards Coggia and thus get back on the provincial Varzo - San Domenico road or otherwise we may also suggest the descent along the track for Casa Grande and Casafranchi up to the Durogna Oratory and the rural communities in the municipality of Cattagna. From here one can reach the Varzo town centre via various inner small roads.
