From the Mount Leone Hut we go up to the Maderlucke Mountain Pass from where we can glance at beautiful views on the Alpine region. We go down the Wasenalp tablelands and then proceed along a path which takes place between 2,000 m and 2,100 m above sea level up to the Bortelhutte Mountain Hut, under the Rebbio Peak. The path continues on the Swiss side of the peaks which keep us apart from the Veglia Alp basin. After a brief way up we go down to the deep narrow valley of Stetnutal in order to proceed along a panoramic canal which takes us up to the small Walser hamlet of Stafel. We then proceed along a suggestive “biss” (canal) which takes us up to the Rosswald meadows.
