From Riale we follow the small paved road which takes us up to the Morasco Dam and follows unpaved coasting the lake. From the beginning of the cableway the track starts with a few original stone-paved paths and goes up to the Bettelmatt Alp where the renown Bettelmatt cheese is produced. From the Bettelmatt Alp a rather steep path takes us back to the Gries Mountain Pass.

From the mountain pass we proceed on Swiss grounds reaching the Del Corno Pass and thus treading on stony grounds we go down the mountainside up to Corno Gries Hut. We follow another tract along the mountainside which takes us to the Saint Gicaomo Alp from which we quickly go back up to the Saint Gicaomo Mountain Path where the road towards Riale starts.

We follow the road which coasts the entire lake along a slightly descending path down to the dam from where we can reach the Maria Luisa Mountain Hut. While going down from the Maria Luisa Mountain Hut at Riale, if your knees can take it, you can follow onto the unpaved road to Riale: this road is longer but not as steep as the G20 track which cuts across hairpin bends.
