From the bounding parking lot we go up to the small church, we proceed straight and in the middle of the plain we take the unpaved road which leads us up to Crampiolo. Before getting to Crampiolo, just before the road starts going down, we take a right crossing the Devero Torrent on a small wooden bridge and then we retreat a little towards the Corte d’Ardui alpine buildings, from which the tractor trail which is used by the Alpine pasture follows: going uphill from the Corte d’Ardui presents a few very steep slopes which are hardly cyclable (this is also due to the rather uneven bottom of the track), but in a very brief time we reach the first lake and thus also the alpine buildings of the Sangiatto Alp: we’re in the area of production of the Bettelmatt cheese.
