From Cheggio go down the well-marked mule track that leads to Antronapiana (908 m). From here the route follows for a stretch the Via Antronesca, an historic road formerly used to pass from the Antrona valley to the Saas valley in Valais. Leave the village of Antrona along a stretch of path flanked by the chapels located on the perimeter of the ancient church buried by the landslide of 1642 which destroyed part of the original village. You will then quickly reach the ancient village of Rovesca with its oratory and the fresco of San Cristoforo on the facade. Leaving Rovesca, pass through the village of Locasca and, a little further on, through the hamlet of Prabernardo. Still on the hydrographic right of the Ovesca stream, continue to descend into the valley and past the Prato di Viganella hamlet at the sports field (571 m), take the path on the right that leads to Colma. The path soon becomes a mule track that climbs with narrow hairpin bends. After passing the Alpe Baitone (706 m), the route develops with a succession of turns, which rise steeply on the coast of the mountain beside the Conca valley. Pass the ruins of the Lamporiggia alp (1148 m) and continue to climb in the woods to the Prei alp (1413 m), lying on a beautiful grassy hill that opens onto the head of the Antrona valley. Following the trail signs, turn right and re-enter the woods. Once out of the woods, take the last hairpin bends and you will arrive at the Alpe Colma refuge (1570 m), located on the watershed between Valle Antrona and Valle Anzasca.
