From the Sironi Bivouac, go up the wide slope on pastures to the Passo della Forcoletta (2359 m), intersecting onto the track that gives access to the tunnel built in the 1960s to pass safely with the herds from the Antigorio Valley, going up to the Cravariola Valley in June, when there is still to much snow and the passage on the pass is dangerous. From here, continue on a path halfway up to the Passo di Fria (2499 m) in about 30 minutes. Then you have to descend from the pass through a hillside that slopes down into the Cravariola Valley. You have to descend on the pastures passing the ruins of Corte Rossa and the Groppo Alp (1926 m), a mountain pasture abandoned years ago following a fire in the hut. From here you will descend more decisively towards Alpe Corte Nuova until you will reach the bottom of the valley where the current Swiss border is located.
