From the Oberto refuge descend towards Macugnaga heading south with a winding path that sometimes crosses the winter ski slopes. Keep going downhill until you will come to a crossroads at about 1950m with the B36 route that you have to leave on the left. From here you will reach Alpe Bill (1703 m), continue the descent into a larch forest on the path that becomes a comfortable mule track. Once you reach the town, take the road of the Chiesa Vecchia passing through the cemetery, in front of which stands an over one hundred-year-old lime tree, up to the center of the village.
