From Alpe Laghetto descend again towards the Vallaro basin at an altitude of 1820 and, following the indications, climb slightly on mountainside up pasture areas to reach Alpe Campo (1890 m). Then cross the entire basin and after passing Stream Straciugo that descends from the Peak of the same name, climb briefly to get around a ridge at the base, and proceed on a slight slope up to a large boulder with the trail markers. Here the path becomes less visible and proceeds halfway up the abandoned pastures until it reaches Alpe Preia plain at an altitude of 2044 meters. Then pass to the left of the huts and go up on the saddle above the alp where you continue along an impluvium up to the Passo della Preia (2327 m). Once left on the right the path of the high variant for Passo del Busin and Andolla Refuge, go downhill from the pass towards Alpe La Preia (2100 m). Then go down under the pasture on the left until you cross a stream below to reach quickly Upper Alpe Teste at around 2000 meters. A stretch in the middle of alders and sparse larches leads to Lower Alpe Teste. Here, once left on the right the path that descends towards Alpe Gabi, follow an aerial exposed stretch on mountainside on the hydrographic left that looms over the underlying Lake dei Cavalli. Walk in the sparse larch wood and in pasture areas paying attention to the path, sometimes not very marked, on slippery grass especially if wet. Then cross Pasquale Valley and meet the crossroads of the path that branches off to the left towards Bocchetta dei Pianei. Instead, continue straight on, arriving shortly at Alpe Bisi. From here a last short steep descent leads to the cableway for the Andolla Refuge and to the village of Cheggio, a small nucleus of ancient houses gathered near the Oratory of San Bernardo. In the years 1928/30, the area underwent a substantial modification of the landscape with the insertion of the gravity dam which barred Stream Loranco forming the basin of the Lake dei Cavalli.
