Starting from Fondomonfracchio and following the path that runs alongside the Onsernone stream you can easily reach the Bagni di Craveggia resort, already renowned for its thermal waters at 29°C - 30°C. The thermal activity was suspended following a large landslide that fell on the valley floor in 1951, right in front of the bathroom building which was seriously damaged. Once you have crossed the border, take a stretch of road to Spruga. Then take the comfortable path on the left towards the Passo del Busan and the Laghetto dei Salei. Once in Pian Secco (about 1420 m), leave the path on the left that continues towards Alpe Pesced and the Colle to turn right towards Pian della Galera (about 1700 m) from which, going up a stretch in the woods, you will reach Alpe Salei (1777 m). From here you have to cross the valley of the Ribo stream and take a nice path along the halfway which, with some ups and downs, leads first to the huts of Piei Bachel (1765 m), then passes through Scheggione (1824 m) and finally allows you to reach the Alpe Arena (1689 m), with the hut of the same name.
